Echo and Ransom
Singer/songwriters Colleen Wild and Jason Benefield met in the early 2000s and quickly became collaborators and friends. After performing together throughout the region, they went their separate ways, had families, and honed their crafts in other projects. In late 2016, they reunited to play a show, which turned into a handful of shows, which eventually became the acoustic duo Echo and Ransom. Since then, they've made a name for themselves for their powerhouse vocals, tight harmonies, honest songwriting, and their ability to engage and entertain a crowd.
Mirabelle Skipworth is an Oswego, IL Native who has played throughout the Chicagoland area as a solo singer/songwriter for a few years now. Her music is rooted in folk music and draws inspiration from rootsy and story-telling-driven music. She occasionally draws on her own experiences, but thrives off of helping to tell the stories many can't do themselves.
A soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist, award-winning singer/songwriter and producer Rachael Sage is one of the busiest touring artists in independent music, performing 100+ dates a year with her band The Sequins throughout the US, UK, & Europe. She has earned a loyal following for her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, and improvisational audience interaction. Sage has shared stages with Beth Hart, Howard Jones, A Great Big World, Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, Marc Cohn, Jamie Cullum, The Animals and Ani DiFranco. Her latest release is "PseudoMyopia", an acoustic collection of timely songs focusing on the concept of vision (including narrow-mindedness) in all its many manifestations, touching on topics as varied as government surveillance, environmental protection, and female empowerment.
